bike education

The Bicycle Education Program is compulsory all grades 4 students.

During Bike Education students spend their time learning road rules and bicycle competence by riding around a number of courses and intersections within the school grounds.

The students learn road rules, how to ride correctly on the road through roundabouts and intersections.

They develop excellent riding skills through practice on the Bike Ed challenge course. This involves:

  • riding slowly

  • tight turns

  • over and under beams

  • slalom and straight riding with scanning.
